I mean no gasoline at all…..powered by electricity, hydrogen or something other?
Do our politicians are pushing for that day to come sooner rather than later? why, why not? Are you in favor of this?

yes, but because oil will be soon gone, it is finite, so we have to find alternatives to oil.
It would be nice to think, but i don’t think you will have a majority of drivers weened off gasoline cars in the next 50 years let alone 15. Cheap to extract and refine oil is finite, but there are very large heavy crude and oil sand deposits around the world that are becoming profitable to extract and refine with oil at over $50 a barrel.
Do you know how to build one? I’ll go for it, but only if it does not cost me any more. If it does keep it.
the middle class are in favor of the idea-
politicians and investors are not-
Politicians would have no tax money-
they also wouldn’t be able to accept money
from oil lobby with interests in keeping the fuel prices high- Politicians could get us off high prices or at least switch us to a different fuel-forcing Gas companies to offer alternative fuels at every gas station etc…
investors would loose the six figure income-if they couldn’t get more for keeping the price-and getting it higher …so it will never happen
I think that most americans will not be able to afford cars. And the wealthy ruling class will have access to technologies that the rest of us will never enjoy.
As far as letting people have the luxury of any of the long proven technologies that would replace oil?
We could have had a gas-less car thirty years ago.
Hell, we could have had safe family flying machine fifty years ago:
I used to think that we would reach a really nice place with scientific progress. But I’ve come to think that the real interest of the ruling class is to create a world of indebted slaves.
I just want reliability and horsepower.
I believe there will be a good amount of americans driving alternate fuel type cars in 15 years, yes. But say most as in say…75% is tough.
American thinking goes bigger is better. And with alternate fuels, usually it’s the opposite. Meaning smaller is better, and will get you farther.
Also, you have to consider semi trucks can not use electric. But maybe biodiesel, but that’s oil too.
My fantasy for the future is solar powered homes and a hybrid/electric car in every garage. I am convinced many of our politicians do not want this as they are captives of the oil companies.
The move to solar energy will come from the bottom up as more and more individuals equip their homes with solar electric with battery storage the cost will drop and others will become energy independent.
If utility companies get smart they will start harvesting free solar energy and wind power to sell to industry.
I hope this is not a fantasy 15 years from now.
I know for a fact that any combustible motor can be converted from gas to hydrogen without big cost, in fact my company has been working in this Field for the last three years and 8 months ago we had a huge break through in converting hydrogen into electricity by using what is called a Proton Exchange Membrane. My company has found away to create 36kw of power from 10 gal. of tap water. The problem of introducing such technology to the people is the Government seems to sweep such idea’s under the table. My only logical explanation as to why they do this is because it would completely kill the big oil industry along with big energy companies. If I told you the technology was there for you to power your own home without the cost of paying monthly electrical bills and you could power your car on tap water you more than likely would jump on board, the government knows this and will do whatever it takes to keep people dependent on oil and energy.
